Finish looks and choose how to spend your Pearls

Makeup Star awards Pearls for every finished look, and the Beauty Bar lets you spend them on shades, finishes and treats. Painting has no timer or layer limit, so you can take time over a look rather than rushing each application.

  1. Choose the objective

    Pick something you want from the Beauty Bar: a new shade, a finish or a treat. If you also want a makeover prompt, work on a Salon customer's beauty wishes; if you want to explore your own design, paint at your vanity.

  2. Carry out the activity

    Paint the look by hand, using the described makeup steps such as skin prep, blush, lipstick and eye makeup. For a Salon makeover, shape the design around the customer's wishes. Finish the look to earn Pearls.

  3. Handle the next decision

    Choose whether to spend your Pearls on a shade or finish you want to try now, or keep them for a different Beauty Bar purchase. Let the look you want to paint next guide that choice rather than buying something just because it is available.

  4. Decide what comes next

    Try a purchased shade or finish in your next design. If you like the result, save the look in your Look Diary to wear again; then choose between styling it with hair and jewelry or taking on another Salon customer's makeover.

Do I have to finish my look before leaving?

You can leave at any time. Your look waits on your vanity exactly as you left it, so you can return to an unfinished design instead of completing it in one session.
