Step by step

Choose a RoChess practice path before rated play

RoChess offers rated online games across nine time controls alongside separate practice tools. Use bots to play a full game at an approachable level, puzzles for focused challenges, and review tools when you want feedback on your moves. These are built-in game features, not functions of the utility build.

  1. Learn through a full game

    If you are new to chess, start against an easy bot. RoChess offers 19 bots ranging from Beginner to Master; move toward stronger opponents as you become comfortable with the easier games.

  2. Work on individual positions

    Choose rated puzzles when you want a focused challenge rather than a full match. For exploring a position with engine feedback, use the Analysis Board with its live engine.

  3. Find a move to revisit

    Use Game Review to inspect accuracy scores and identified brilliant moves or blunders. Pick a flagged move to study rather than relying on the overall accuracy score alone.

  4. Switch to human opposition

    When you want rated games against real people, choose online play and one of the nine time controls. Bullet, Blitz and Rapid have leaderboards, while puzzles have their own leaderboard.
