Lanterns places you in a progression loop built around choosing a Corps, equipping construct abilities, confronting criminals, alien raiders, deadly machines, and bosses, then deciding whether to advance toward stronger cities and planets. Treat the fallback as a general companion to those choices; the meaningful progress decisions come from the abilities you equip and the threat you are ready to face.

  1. Choose your Corps

    Start by selecting your Corps, then equip the construct abilities that fit the encounter you intend to take on. This establishes your approach before you enter the next fight.

  2. Face the current threat

    Use your equipped abilities while fighting the criminals, alien raiders, deadly machines, or challenging bosses described by the experience. Keep the encounter focused on the threat in front of you rather than moving on prematurely.

  3. Decide when to advance

    After developing Health, Stamina, and Damage, choose whether to continue in the current area or travel toward a stronger city or planet. The next destination should follow your readiness for the greater threats described in the game loop.
